Quocirca Home Printing Trends 2021
Quocirca conducted a study of 455 UK and US home workers in November 2020, with the aim of exploring the impact the sudden, forced migration of workforces from offices has had on printing in the home.
The research targeted employees who were printing in the office before the pandemic and excluded those who didn’t print at all pre-pandemic. Of those surveyed 59% printed regularly while in the office before the pandemic, with 41% printing occasionally. 24% of the respondents were from SMEs (250 to 499 employees), 30% from mid-size organisations (500 to 1,000 employees) and 46% from large enterprises (1,001+ employees).

Printing in the Hybrid Workplace Study
New research amongst UK and US IT Decision Makers (ITDMs) reveals a range of changes that are being made to support workers in the evolving hybrid workplace.
Quocirca conducted a snapshot study amongst 303 ITDMs across the UK (103) and US (200) in July 2020. Respondents were from organisations with over 500 employees and across a range of vertical sectors (business/professional services, financial services, public sector, manufacturing, retail).

To understand the impact of COVID-19 on the office print industry, Quocirca conducted its third snapshot COVID-19 Business Impact Survey between 1st May and 15th May 2020. The research looked at the perceptions of a range of office print supplier organisations to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their businesses. The latest survey reveals that while the office print industry remains significantly impacted, many industry executives believe that the pandemic will be a catalyst for change through innovation of products and services.

Quocirca recently conducted a snapshot online survey between 8th April and 23rd April 2020 to understand the impact of COVID-19 on the office print industry. The research looked at the perceptions of a range of office print supplier organisations to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their businesses. The latest survey reveals that while the office print industry remains significantly impacted, most believe that the pandemic will be a catalyst for change through innovation of products and services. Quocirca received 114 completed responses, 26% from OEMs, 54% from channel organisations and 18% from ISVs. Quocirca recently conducted a snapshot online survey between March 31st and April 7th 2020 to understand the impact of COVID-19 on the office print industry. The survey reveals an industry in a state of flux, as print volumes across most sectors are seen to be in steep decline. However, despite the significant impact on their business, there is some cautious optimism among print industry professionals that this crisis presents an opportunity to drive innovation in their products and services.
Zero trust in the remote working era
Today’s enterprises are challenged by an environment composed of more users, devices and network connections than ever before. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced organisations to rapidly accommodate a mass shift to remote working, rolling out VPNs and other remote working tools in record time. Whilst working practises become more flexible, the attack surface becomes more diverse and security professionals need to rethink the concept of identity and expand their zero trust initiatives.
