Zero Trust Trends, 2022
Zero trust momentum is increasing as organisations come under pressure to protect their business from the growing frequency of cyberattacks. Quocirca’s study, conducted during March 2022, covered 202 interviews with IT decision-makers in organisations with over 500 employees. Target respondents were CIOs, CISOs and senior UK and US IT decision-makers with knowledge of zero trust.
The report highlights the drivers for zero trust, how organisations are prioritising print security in their zero trust strategies and their preferences for using MSPs.

Quocirca Sustainability Trends, 2022
In February 2022, Quocirca conducted a survey of 212 IT decision-makers in UK and US organisations with over 500 employees. The survey reveals that businesses believe having sustainable practices in place offers greater operational efficiency, allows them to meet industry standards, and will satisfy customers who expect or even demand that suppliers act environmentally responsibly. The vast majority report that their net zero goals are influencing their choice of print supplier, with most accelerating their paper reduction efforts to meet sustainability goals.
The report also provides a summary of the sustainability initiatives of the major print suppliers: Brother, Canon, Epson, HP Inc, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, Ricoh and Xerox.

The Managed IT Services Opportunity
Quocirca’s Managed IT Services study reveals that UK organisations are increasing their adoption of managed IT services to address a range of challenges associated with handling IT in-house. Alongside the desire to shift the focus of IT resources and leadership to more strategic activities, organisations are being hindered by legacy technology and complex IT infrastructure which places a significant burden on internal teams. As a result, many are turning to managed service providers (MSPs) to offload infrastructure, user support and security operations and management.
This snapshot report of 50 UK IT Decision Makers looks into adoption of managed IT services and interest in using a single MSP for both the print and IT environment.

The future immersive workplace
The metaverse promises to create an immersive, interactive and shared digital world that brings together mixed reality – augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) – along with 3D holographic avatars, digital twins (digital 3D replicas of physical assets) and advanced use of IoT devices. It is seen as the next great leap in the evolution of the internet, with tech titans such as Meta, Microsoft and NVIDIA all announcing their vision of this alternative universe. So, beyond the hype, what does the metaverse mean for the future workplace?

Quocirca Home Printing Trends 2022
Quocirca conducted a study of 417 UK and US home workers in October 2021, with the aim of exploring the impact the sudden, forced migration of workforces from offices to working from home has had on printing. This is the third edition of this study analysing home printing trends amongst workers from small businesses (250 to 499 employees), mid-size organisations (500 to 1,000 employees) and large enterprises (1,001+ employees).

The Rise of Cloud Marketplaces
As the office print industry looks to recover and remain relevant in the cloud-centric, post-pandemic world, manufacturers, ISVs and channel partners will need to participate in the cloud marketplace ecosystem. To advance digital transformation in the print sector and enable vendors to capitalise on the wider cloud market opportunity, OEMs must strategically collaborate and partner with hyperscale provider marketplaces such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The print industry must acknowledge the power of platforms that digitally link business buyers and sellers as a disruptor to their core business.
This report is based on 202 interviews with IT buyers in the UK and US, conducted in June 2021.

Smart Buildings and IoT: Opportunities in the connected workplace
Quocirca’s Smart Buildings and IoT Study analyses how IoT-enabled smart buildings are presenting new opportunities for managed service providers (MSPs) in the post-pandemic workplace.
The report is based on a survey amongst 260 IT decision makers in the UK, France, Germany and the US in May 2021. Respondents represented companies with 500 or more employees, and all had decision-making responsibility within their organisations for IT purchasing decisions and IoT.

Quocirca COVID-19 Study Phase 4
To understand the continuing impact of COVID-19 on the office print industry, Quocirca conducted its fourth snapshot COVID-19 Business Impact Survey between 1st April and 27th May 2021. As previously, the research looked at the perceptions of a range of industry executives across print manufacturers (OEMs) and channel partners (MPS providers, resellers, systems integrators etc) to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their businesses. This report includes comparisons with the previous three surveys, the last of which was conducted in May 2020. This latest survey reveals that, while many continue to struggle with the fallout from the pandemic, there is a strong recognition of the need for change and innovation.
